Supernatural Jesus!

I have been serving Jesus for nearly three decades and I have observed something troubling within the western church. I have marveled how the modern day western church ignores the supernatural Jesus. They embrace the reality of Him being a historical person but they dismiss His supernatural powers (and His powers in our lives to minister to others) in our present day. By embracing a faulty view of Jesus, they have committed a spiritual crime. For there are implications to this belief.
Sure they believe that two thousand years ago He walked on earth and performed wondrous miracles –driving out demons, raising the dead, curing the infirm– but that was two thousand years ago. That Jesus, they wrongly claim, does NOT work in this manner anymore. Moreover, they reject the idea that disciples of Jesus could perform miracles. As a result of this fallacy the western church has been, largely, ineffective. HOW? Ineffective in helping one another in the Body and then extending the miraculous outside the Body. The watching world needs along with the church, the supernatural Jesus. The miracle-working Jesus who STILL liberates, miraculously heals and restores.
Because the church has believed a lie; it has kept so many in our churches bound by demons, sick and deceived. IF we believe in a supernatural Jesus then we will act upon that faith and will minister healing and deliverance to the captives. IF we don’t believe then people will continue suffer without relief. Let’s believe in a supernatural Jesus and introduce those in the church and outside the church to the powers of the age to come (see Hebrews 6:4). Result? JOY!
Acts 8:4 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8
And there was great joy in that city.
