Fire of the Holy Spirit

When I came to Jesus Christ over a quarter of a century ago I was indwelt with the Blessed Trinity, however, to carry out the works of Jesus (performing miracles as He did), I needed to understand the fire of the Holy Spirit, that God graciously provided to us. I had the Holy Spirit but I needed to understand the fire that comes with the Holy Spirit! I read the promises of God & by faith I claimed the FIRE that the Holy Spirit provided to me! And guess what happened?

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

-Matthew 7:7-11

The Father gave me the understanding of the fire, I allowed the fire to burn from within and miracles started flowing (deliverances, healings, extraordinary abilities, and even giving me a ability to speak in the language of angels). *There seems to me there are several gifts of “languages/tongues,” in light of Scripture, that are available for the believer. I believe God has given me one of them. I fully understand this is a secondary issue so I love those who might differ with me on this understanding and will be graceful to those who disagree.

John the Baptist stated, “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”

Clapping In the Christian journey, we followers of Jesus need the Third Person of the Blessed Holy Trinity ~ the Holy Spirit ~ to empower us for the works of deliverance. In battling evil spirits, in this ministry, one needs the understanding of the “fire of the Holy Spirit.”

So when the fire comes you’ll receive…

1 ~ A Burning (as a result of the fire) Passion. Acts 1:8 tells us that, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

When the Holy Spirit ~ the fire comes upon you ~ you’ll be filled with burning passion ~ to be witnesses! The passion (the power thereof) to carry out His works — the cast out demons, to heal the sick, and to preach the gospel!

2 ~ A Glowing (as a result of the fire). Exodus 24:16-18 speaks of how the glory of the Lord brought a spiritual atmosphere that looked like a “consuming fire.”

“and the glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the LORD called to Moses from within the cloud. To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”

Being in the presence of the Holy Trinity will bring about a supernatural glow that others will notice, this was the experience of Moses, for example as he radiated the presence of God!

3 ~ A Warmth (as a result of the fire). The Holy Spirit’s fire will bring about comfort and warmth in your hearts as He is the Counselor and a counselor brings comfort, warmth to the heart!

John 14 speaks of this, “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

4 ~ A spark (as a result of the fire) The Holy Spirit sparks the gifts He has given us. This IS what the believers of our day need!!!! Hebrews 2 tells us that there is gifts from the Holy Spirit, “God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.”

Yet, He is the one that fires up the gifts as the apostle Paul tells us when he writes, “Do not put out the Spirit’s fire, do not treat prophecies with contempt.” When the fire of the Holy Spirit is present, gifts flow and we ought not to stay in the way of the flow of the Spirit.

Get the FIRE of the Holy Spirit, by faith claim the promises that comes with fire of the Holy Spirit & watch what happens!!!! We need more Christian workers who understand what it truly means to be on fire with the Holy Spirit, in order to carry out the ministry of Jesus, such as casting out demons!
